Born: July 31, 1956, Chariton, Iowa; attended Iowa State University and Drake University, then received his Bachelor's degree in History in 1978 from the University of Oklahoma. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1981 from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. Mr. Shelton is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court Western District of Oklahoma, U.S. District Court Eastern District of Oklahoma, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating[1]. He is a member of the Cleveland County Bar Association; International Association of Arson Investigators; Defense Research Institute; and Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel. He also attended the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain and Oxford University, Oxford, England. He is the Oklahoma Bar Association's representative member of the Joint Task Force on Mold and Mold Remediation, created by joint resolution of the Oklahoma Legislature. He serves on numerous committees for the Bar Association.
