Douglas J. Shelton

Born July 31, 1956 in Chariton, Iowa; attended Iowa State University and Drake University, then received his Bachelor's degree in History in 1978 from the University of Oklahoma. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1981 from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. Mr. Shelton is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the U.S.
District Court Western District of Oklahoma, U.S. District Court Eastern District of Oklahoma, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Mr Shelton is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating. He is a member of the Cleveland County Bar Association; American Association for Justice; and Oklahoma Association for Justice. He also attended the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain and Oxford University, Oxford, England.

His primary areas of practice are personal injury, defective products, nursing home abuse, insurance, construction defects, and real estate disclosure litigation. He serves on numerous committees for the Bar Association. He is an avid Sooner fan and attends OU football and basketball games.
